The G9457 HSS 1" Chucking Reamer is used to dimension a drilled hole accurately with a lathe or drill press.

Finishing holes within tight tolerances, this American Standard high-speed steel reamer features straight flutes with 45 degree chamfer for gradual starting load.

HSS (high-speed steel) has been heat treated for hardness and wear resistance, which keeps a sharp edge longer than other carbon steels.
